About Birdcage and Blushers Weddings
Hello! I’m Alyson, the planner and creative director behind Birdcage & Blushers.
I care deeply about beautiful spaces and thoughtful design, but I care just as much about how they make people feel.
I’ve always had a strong eye (I used to draw and paint constantly), and I still think in terms of balance, proportion, and mood. But what matters most to me is helping couples move through the planning process feeling steady, supported, and clear.
Wedding planning is exciting and it’s emotional. My role is to hold the structure, ask the right questions, keep things moving, and step in with calm direction when it’s needed. I genuinely connect with my couples. I’ll laugh with you, celebrate with you, and listen closely. And when it’s go time, I’m the quietly commanding presence making sure everything unfolds exactly as it should.
The most fabulous weddings are the ones where every detail feels aligned, where the room makes sense, the pacing feels natural, and nothing feels forced.
My job is to guide the process with clarity and care, so you can stay present from the first planning meeting through the last dance, confident that every detail is handled.
