Simple and Sentimental Wedding at The Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago

One of the things I loved most about Mark and Danielle was how down to earth and funny they are as a couple. These two met Labor Day weekend of 2019, and bonded over their love of competitive sailing. Both being members of the Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago, they couldn’t think of a more perfect venue to host their wedding.
The Columbia Yacht Club is one of the premier waterfront wedding venues in Chicago. The August summer day was perfect: mild summer weather, and clear skies serving as the perfect backdrop for the Chicago skyline.
Danielle and Mark’s wedding aesthetic was minimal and elegant with lots of personal touches. From personalized handkerchiefs, and family wedding photos, to the couple’s favorite candies as favors and incorporating their family into their wedding ceremony.
The couple had family coming in from all over, and really wanted to get to celebrating with family and friends, so their ceremony was short and sweet. After the ceremony, I was so excited to see the couple in their element: surrounded by loved ones, laughing, and having a good time. Everyone was just as warm and fun-loving as the couple, making for a super fun wedding reception.
