Hi, I’m Alyson Thompson—Chicago native, wedding planner, designer, and the heart behind Birdcage & Blushers.
I started this boutique wedding planning company after a decade working in luxury hotels, catering, and venue sales. I loved the polish, but something was missing: the personal connection. I created Birdcage & Blushers to bring together both—refined event design, rooted in real relationships.
Planning a wedding is a big deal. It’s emotional. It’s joyful. And yes, it can be overwhelming. I’m here to make the process feel calm, collaborative, and just as meaningful as the day itself. Whether you're planning a second wedding, or a destination celebration, I bring structure, reassurance, and intentionality to every step of the journey.
